What is Reyds Refrigeration?

Premium HVAC, refrigeration, and cold-room maintenance services for residential and commercial clients in Boksburg and the East Rand.

How quickly can you attend a cold room installation call in Germiston?

Germiston is within our standard service area from Boksburg. Emergency and breakdown calls are prioritised and usually attended the same working day; scheduled installations and maintenance visits are booked to suit your trading or household hours.

What does a cold room installation visit include?

A technician diagnoses the system on site — measurements, pressures, electrical readings and a physical inspection — then explains what has failed and what it will cost before any work is done. Typical builds use 75–100 mm insulated panels for chillers with hinged or sliding doors, remote or packaged condensing units, and digital controllers with alarm outputs and temperature logging for compliance.

Do you work on commercial sites in Germiston?

Yes. Roughly half our work is commercial: restaurants, supermarkets, butcheries, hotels, warehouses, factories and offices. Commercial clients can add the site to a maintenance contract for priority response and documented temperature records.

Do you quote before installing?

Always. We do a site assessment, calculate the load, confirm electrical capacity and pipe routing, then issue a written quotation listing equipment, materials and commissioning. Nothing is ordered before you approve it.

How we approach cold room installation

Log room temperature over a full cycle rather than reading a single number
Assess heat load: door openings, product turnover, lighting and ambient plant-room temperature
Inspect the evaporator for ice build-up and check defrost timing and termination
Check condensing unit performance, head pressure and fan operation
Test controller settings, probes, solenoids and expansion valve superheat
Survey panel joints, door seals, closers and floor insulation for infiltration

[customer_outcome]

What you get

Stable holding temperature that protects high-value stock
Lower energy cost from correct defrost and sealed panel joints
Temperature records that stand up to health inspections
Planned maintenance instead of a Friday-night breakdown

Installation detail for Germiston

Typical builds use 75–100 mm insulated panels for chillers with hinged or sliding doors, remote or packaged condensing units, and digital controllers with alarm outputs and temperature logging for compliance.

Every installation starts with a load calculation and a site survey: available electrical capacity, pipe routing, drainage, mounting positions and access for future servicing. We commission the system with measured readings and hand over a set-up sheet so future service visits start from known values.

[local_insight]

We run scheduled routes through Germiston several times a week, which keeps callout costs down for both once-off repairs and maintenance contracts.
